Who AM I?
Cosima Wood is a Sydney-based scenic artist, illustrator and designer hailing from the UK. With over 10 years of experience in Film, TV, Theatre and advertising, Cosima has built a reputation for her detailed realism and ageing. Cosima is a master at bringing depth and authenticity to her work, with a keen eye for detail and extensive knowledge and understanding of colour and texture.
Cosima’s most notable work to date has been her contributions to numerous feature films in Australia: as Scenic Painter on Peter Rabbit ( 2018, Animal Logic), Head Scenic for The School (2018, Bronte Pictures), Set Decoration Painter for Thor: Love & Thunder (2021, Marvel/Disney) and Set Decoration Painter for George Millar’s Furiosa (2022, Warner Bros), Set Decoration Painter for Play Dirty (2025, Amazon) and most recently working on Baltasar Kormákur’s upcoming Apex (2026 Netflix) as Set Decoration Painter.
Cosima has worked on multiple TV shows in various creative roles: as Scenic Artist and Set Dresser for Big Brother (2020, Endemol Shine), Illustrator on The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart (2022, Amazon), Scenic Artist on Strife (2023, Foxtel), Scenic Artist and Props Painter for the upcoming season of Heartbreak High (2025 Netflix), and Endemol Shine’s Portrait Artist of the Year. Most recently Cosima worked as Props Painter for the upcoming show The Narrow Road to the Deep North (2024, Amazon).
Cosima’s extensive experience in immersive theatre includes the scenic art and set dressing for Luna Park's Halloscream [2018, 2019] followed by the production design of Viral Ventures’ venues: Wonderland bar, Wizard's Den and Karen's Diner (Open Table Diner's Choice 2022). Cosima has created and painted props and sets for numerous adverts including the Australian Olympic campaign, The Housing Supply Association, Sleeping Duck, Mecca and Kia.
Cosima comes from a background in Fine Art (Diploma from Camberwell College of Art, UAL), History of Art (BA Hons, University of York) and Screen and Media (Diploma, TAFE).
